1. Introduction

Fablette ("the App") is a mobile application that provides children's stories with audio narration and AI-personalized story generation. The App is designed for use by parents and guardians on behalf of their children. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following information when you create an account and use the App:

• Account information: Email address and password (or OAuth provider identity via Google or Apple Sign-In).
• Child profile information: Child's first name, age, and interests. This information is entered by the parent or guardian and is used solely for story personalization.
• Usage data: Favorite stories, generated story history, and subscription status.

We do not collect location data, device identifiers for advertising, photos, contacts, or any data directly from children.

3. How We Use Your Data

• Account management: To create and maintain your account, authenticate sign-ins, and manage your subscription.
• Story personalization: Child profile information (name, age, interests) is used to generate age-appropriate, personalized stories via AI.
• Subscription management: To process purchases, verify entitlements, and restore previous purchases.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — Authentication, database, and file storage. Privacy policy.
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI story text generation. Child profile data (name, age, interests) is sent to generate personalized stories. Privacy policy.
• RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management. Privacy policy.

5. Children's Privacy

Fablette is designed for parents and guardians to use with their children. We take children's privacy seriously:

• The App does not collect data directly from children. All child profile information is entered and managed by the parent or guardian.
• Child profile data is limited to first name, age, and interests — no last names, photos, or contact information.
• Child data is used exclusively for story personalization and is not shared with third parties for any purpose other than generating the requested story content.
• Parents can view, edit, or delete child profiles at any time from the Profile screen.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may:

• Delete individual child profiles at any time from the Profile screen.
• Delete your entire account directly from the app: go to Profile > Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data including child profiles, favorites, and generation history. This action cannot be undone.
• Stories you have generated will remain in our system but will no longer be linked to your account.

Account deletion is processed immediately upon confirmation. No additional steps, emails, or phone calls are required.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via Supabase Auth, and signed URLs for media access. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data via the app's profile editing features.
• Delete your data by removing child profiles or requesting account deletion.
• Withdraw consent by deleting your account.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
